The kapat of Shri Kedarnath Temple will open on 14th May 2013 at 7:15 AM. Now a days devotees perform the winter puja, darshan and abhishek of Lord Kedarnath at the Gaddi Sthal Shri Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath with same rituals and tradition as performed at Shri Kedarnath Temple.
Char dham yatra 2013 is about to get started now, by the begining of the month May, people start visiting Shri Kedarnath, Shri Badrinarth, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Every year around ten lakh people visit Uttarakhand to perform puja at these one of the most sacred religious places of India.
